Abstract: $\underline{Part II}$ The methane microwave plasma was sampled by a time of flight mass spectrometer through a nozzle of about 20$\mu$m diameter. The massspectra of the various gaseous species in the microwave plasma shows a polymerization process of higher hydrocarbons up to C$_{12}$. Reactions of various types such as ion molecule and excited radical molecules leading to the polymer formation are discussed. $\underline{Part III}$ The kinetics of the chemical reactions in the polymerization process of methane in a microwave plasma was investigated. Reaction rates, together with their enthalpies were calculated and discussed. Two different " path ways" for the polymerization process are given and discussed.
